Men and women have different ideas about what constitutes manners in bed.
For women, it might mean making sure the sheets are clean and that they match
the pillowcases. For men, it might mean nudging you to make sure you're awake
before climbing on top.
But despite our differences, sexiquette is as important as foreplay. And now
that your relationship has moved offline to the bedroom manners must not be
ignored.

The rest of your house can look like a hurricane tore through it, but make sure
your bedroom is a haven from the chaos of the world. Keep the room tidy and the
bed made, preferably with fresh sheets, and spritz them with lavender, cologne
or perfume. Invest in some scented candles; they make a room instantly
romantic.

Men - never believe a woman who says she's on the Pill and can't get
pregnant.
Women - never believe a man who says he's had a vasectomy and can't get
you pregnant.
Always carry your own stash of condoms and insist on using them. Remember,
parenthood isn't the only incurable disease you can catch from unprotected sex.

If a certain position is not working for you, gently guide your partner to a
new one or ask if they would mind trying something different. Never yell out
things like, "What the hell was that?!" unless it's meant in a good way.

Never compare your partner to one you've had in the past unless it's to say,
"You're way better than Brad Pitt" or "Julia Roberts couldn't hold a candle to
you."

Remember what your mother told you - always say thank you when someone gives
you something. And breakfast the next morning or a phone call the day after is
always appreciated.
