What was your first date?
Ours was a coffee date. I had a rule of only ever going on coffee dates as the first date, that way if things didn't go well you are only there for a short time and are not wasting the others time/money on a meal....a bit like speed dating!

What made you try online dating?
I wasnt meeting the right kind of people in pubs/clubs...it was all about looks. I liked being able to read through profiles studying values, personality, interests and overall compatibility.

About a month.

Did it take you long to find your partner?
Approx 6 dates over a 6 month period.

Were you nervous about online dating at the start?
Yes, there was still a stigma about it and I was worried what others might say, but when we tell people now they are often persuaded to try it themselves because they know how 'normal' and happy we are.

Any advice to other singles still looking for their special someone?
You need to be happy within yourself before looking for love. When I first started looking I was doing it out of habit of having a boyfriend and needed to concentrate more on myself. It wasn't until I was truly loving life and could 'take it or leave it' that I met 'the one'.
