I came to NZ from the UK in 2007 on my own for work. I had been working there for a few years after having moved from South Africa.

It was very hard at first as whilst people were really friendly at work they don't include new comers very much in any social events.

I did meet someone the following year. It wasn't a good relationship and luckily I escaped and I did learn a lot from it.

I decided to try online dating in 2010. I was a bit nervous of strangers. I was so lucky as Raymond was the first guy I met through Findsomeone. We would never had met otherwise as he was building his own house after work and on weekends so our paths would never have crossed.

I am so glad I joined Findsomeone as I am now married to Raymond.

My parents came over from the UK, my best friend from Dubai and some of his family from Holland.

Although I have no family in NZ, I have now gained truly wonderful in-laws and Raymond and I will hopefully be extending that family soon.
