When Jon met Vikki

Our FindSomeone success story has been so wonderful that my fiancee Vikki wrote and illustrated a book about it called "How Mr and Mrs Otter found each "Otter".

The book is about how we met each other through online dating.

I was happy to support her and help with editing.

The Mr and Mrs Otter characters came to her mind after seeing how cute sea otters were holding each others hands while they are asleep on the water. This reminded her of us and how we fall asleep together holding hands!

Our story continues and we are getting married May 2018.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

  • How long did you chat online before meeting up?

    A few days.

  • How did you and your significant other find each other on FSO?

Vikki found my profile and messaged me. I really liked her profile and replied straight away.

  • Did it take you long to find your partner?

Yes. But we both felt it was worth the wait.

  • What was your first date?

At a pub...we arranged to meet for an hour at 7 pm and ended up being asked to leave at closing time. As we left we noticed there was a quiz night the next evening so we came back then for our second date. In the book Vikki calls the pub "The Badger's Brew".

  • What attracted you first about your partner?

Vikki's beautiful smile. It was so warm and genuine. I still love seeing it now.

  • What made you try online dating?

I had been on some unsuccessful dates set-up through the usual ways. A friend was registered with FindSomeone and suggested I give it a go. So I did.

  • Any advice to other singles still looking for their special someone?

Don't give up. Do think about what you want and do not want in a relationship. Look for someone who is compatible with you and has the same values and interests as you so you can share great times together. Seek someone who likes you for you and not for what you may or may not have. Good Luck to all of you and may you all experience the same kind of love and happiness as Vikki and I, and maybe we will see more books like ours on Success Stories.
