When I joined Find Someone, my friend and I had had a couple of wines and thought it would be interesting to see what the online dating thing was like. Personally, I never thought I would actually find my 'person' on here.

A year ago next week, I met a rather lovely man on Find Someone. He sent me a message the very minute I was about to cancel my profile. We exchanged numbers, talked on the phone a couple of times which was a great way to begin the dating process. Kiel then asked me out on a date. I was really nervous but having spoken on the phone, this broke the ice a little.

On the night of our date, I received a phone call and my heart sank as I thought he was going to cancel. But this was not the case. Apparently I did not know my address as I gave him the wrong house number. Great start Mandy!

Kiel turns up in his dirty builder work van, but I didn't mind, as soon as I saw him I was at ease and excited! That bald head and bellowing laugh stole my heart immediately!

We proceeded to a bar on the North Shore where Kiel bought us both a drink. I then got his attention further when I got up and bought us a second drink despite his protest!

After this, we went to the casino. He lost all of his chosen 'winning' money and accused me of being bad luck! After wiping his loosing tears away, he then survived the challenge of meeting my flatmate and my best friend that very same night!

He didn't seem to mind though...a year later, we are as happy as when we first met. We have overcome a couple of hurdles, like all couples. We are now living together and moving over to Australia for a new adventure to share, at the end of the year.

I would recommend Fine Someone even to simply meet people regardless of the outcome! I am so thankful to this sight for helping me find my soul mate!!!
